I love crisp fall mornings for fun family portrait sessions. I met the Miller's at beautiful Riverside State Park - Bowl and Pitcher on Spokane's north side where evergreens stand tall and the Spokane River rages through, every day of the year. Big brother was an awesome help with his little brother who wasn't too keen on picture day... Some days are like that, and that's ok, Bud! Picture taking is new to little ones and it just might not be their idea of a great time... Yet. We understand the developmental importance of respecting children by acknowledging their feelings and giving them time to warm up to us behind that big ol' lens. That's why we approach our family photography sessions with a lot of patience, a goofy hat (and some other fun goodies), and a hearty dose of imagination.
Planning your own family portrait session soon? Try making your outing less about picture taking and more about something fun to do with the family, like going for a hike or I Spy for animals. Hide and Seek, a game of Tag, or soccer can be fun too! Mentioning there will be someone there to take pictures of everyone having a great time playing at the park will allow little guys time to get excited for family fun and a chance to mull over the idea of being photographed before you arrive.
We love opportunities to donate our photography skills in support of a good cause. The Miller Family won the bid last year at a fundraising event which helped a local school earn funds for installing some inspiring upgrades to their garden playgrounds. If you'd like to share an opportunity to help our community achieve great things, please give us a call and let us know how we can make our photography work for you! 509-465-4166
