Every wedding is a gift.
This wedding was a blessing.
Let me tell you a story of two human beings…
Once there was a woman who wished a wish and was bestowed a joy only fairies speak of in whisper. This girl had seen love and loss and endured mourning to witness the sun rise again. A final message of hope, a small token bestowed in the form of a brooch, periwinkle in tone, a wish set on the wings of a butterfly for a tall bearded man.
Days, maybe weeks, a wish on the wings, nearly forgotten and still just a dream, reemerges the living, vibrant thing. A butterfly, periwinkle in tone, fluttered just so, as though asking her,
“Please, follow me… An introduction awaits on a warm summer day.”
Now we all know summers lead to dancing, and dance they did.
Perhaps a wind caught, or maybe nature called, fact is, the man literally ran away and our lady was left with a shrug and a tiny soul flame.
A few hours passed, it was time for a stroll, and like a gravitational pull, the two drawn to dance found each other again, staring agape and dumbfounded in proof that a small, symbolic, periwinkle butterfly had indeed set the tone for the rest of their lives, in love.
Let me tell you… She literally ran to him. He sang to her till his heart burst… We cried till our cheeks dripped tears and we are eternally grateful just to have been there.
